Local Florists

Hayford & Rhodes

5 Morocco St, London SE1 3HB, UK – 020 3130 9219

I ordered a large bouquet for my Mum's birthday and it didn't disappoint. My whole experience was flawless. The flowers not only looked impressive, but also lasted much longer than expected and were great value for money. From being advised on the type of flowers I should choose by the excellently trained and helpful staff, to the high quality and standard of the final product, I could not fault anything about Hayford & Rhodes' top service and style. I would highly recommend.

Our wedding flowers were absolutely spectacular - receiving so many compliments (and well deserved!)! Becca is so easy to work with, creative, patient and dedicated. The team translated my brief into something far better than I ever could have imagined! My jaw dropped when I walked into the venue. They created the perfect romantic, spring atmosphere for our wedding and in the run up were always on hand with quick, professional answers and great attention to detail. I can't recommend them enough!

Wildabout Flowers

87 Clerkenwell Rd, London EC1R 5BX, UK – 020 7404 2541

Lovely staff and beautiful flowers. Needed to pick up some last minute flowers for a leaving staff member and the lady behind the desk couldn't have been more helpful. She made a gorgeous bouquet of flowers for a great price. Will definitely be back for another special occasion.

We ordered a bouquet for a birthday a week before. It arrived today (on time), the flowers are beautiful and fresh. The order was made online, the service was great, very quick. Overall a good experience!

Grace and Thorn

338 Hackney Rd, London E2 7AX, UK – 020 7739 1521

I could not recommend this florist enough! Truly the most beautiful arrangements and greatest customer service I have ever encountered. I purchased a box set of succulents from them and received a valentines bouquet from Grace and Thorn. My succulents are still beautiful months later and I even kept the valentines arraignment for weeks after the flowers died because they aged so well! Absolutely to date the most natural and elegant arrangements I've ever seen. I attempted to attend one of their bouquet making workshops however complications arose with scheduling (on my end) and Grace and Thorn were SO accommodating and helpful with trying to reschedule and work everything out. Customer service is a 10/10, the nicest people

I regularly buy flowers from Grace & Thorn and am always delighted with the bouquets. The staff are incredibly helpful and creative and always surprise me with wonderful designs. They are my go to florist and I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Tips - Caring for your flowers once they are delivered

Placing your flowers in vase half to two thirds full with lukewarm water, will help closed buds to start opening.

  • Be careful when un-wrapping a hand-tied bouquet as it is delivered in a water bubble to keep the flowers fresh.
  • Arranging your flowers in cold water should be avoided as this can reduce the their life in the vase.
  • Avoid puting flowers in metal or aluminium containers - glass is ideal. Keep your flowers in a cool location, away from draughts, direct heat or sunlight. Arrange once unwrapped
  • Your flowers may take up to 24 hours after being placed in water to reach their full potential.
  • Strip off all excess foliage and leaves below the water level to reduce any harmful bacteria within the water.
  • Bacteria can block the stem and stop the flowers taking up the water.unwrap. Flowers like their stems trimmed. So, trim them, at an angle with a knife (rather than scissors) by an inch or so. When trimming stems, always cut at an angle of roughly 45degrees; this increases the surface area allowing your flowers to absorb more water.
  • If a Rose starts to droop at the head, re-cut the stem, wrap the head in paper to support it upright and plunge 5cms of the stem into boiling water for about 30seconds. Cut the stem again and place in deep cold water for two hours.trim

Most orders are accompanied by a sachet of cut flower food which will encourage buds to open and help to prolong the life and beauty of your flowers. Top up regularly with water and flower food, removing any fading flowers. Ensure the floristry foam used in arrangements is moist and topped up daily; this helps to prolong the life and vibrancy of your arrangements.
