The equipment felt old and worn. The sensors where not very accurate. But it’s good fun for an hour and it’s well located. The service was slow when we were there but staff was friendly.
Attentive and efficient staff, great food, drinks and service...oh and the golf is great fun too! Overall fantastic excuse to get a group of mates together in central London.

Great fun. Virtual golf with real clubs and balls. Reasonably good bar snacks
If this isn't the perfect place for guys to hang out, I don't know what is! The clubs they provide are top notch & the beer is tasty!

Pretty good mini-golf with a more adult drinking theme vibe to it. Would be really excellent with a larger group or for a work drinks event. Drinks prices are standard and have a great array of choice. I went with just two people and the courses are a bit short for what you pay for, taking less than 40 minutes to go round the 9 holes. Some holes are really creative and use the space to excellent effect but it is a shame they aren't all like that. As others have mentioned, if it is hot outside it will be really hot inside, it is not well ventilated or air conditioned. It is also loud and dark inside so depending on your mood may be a love/hate affair. Would recommend checking it out as a fun city activity, but if you are up for a challenging and complex mini-golf course this probably isn't the one.
Tried the Bruce course which was great fun albeit a bit too short for our taste, 8 of us took about 30 mins to finish the 9 hole course. Given its underground it's also a bit warm and stuffy down there, especially in this summer heatwave. They did have 2-3 fans across the course but more airflow is required. All in all nicely constructed but could do with some venting and I would suggest play at least 2 courses on the day if you don't want it to be a short evening.

Decent gym for men. Machines are too big for women so did not enjoy going with my wife too much. The music was banging at a crazy volume. Why have such loud music if everyone is listening to their own stuff anyway?
Good gym, though don't leave valuables in the lockers (or bring them at all). The lockers are easy to break in to as they are very flimsy (many of the locks are bent out of place as evidence of this). It's not nice to come back to you bag and find your wallet stolen and money taken.

I've been a member ever since this gym opened and it's the best gym in the area! Great staff and PTs, always there to help, which makes a great atmosphere. I love the fact I never have to wait for any of the equipment, there's always so much space, even when it's busy after work!
Relatively basic gym given the location, compact but with pretty much all you need for a workout. I've never found it too be overly busy during the week days, even lunchtime wasn't too bad. I like the two spinning bikes with coaching screens in the basement. Sadly missing from most other gym group's in London.

Nice gym. 24hr access. In a good location near a yuve stop on the central line. Not a big gym. Small weights area and not many machines. It's only on one small floor. Relatively inexpensive compared to other franchises. Wouldn't recommend this as a main gym due to lack of equipment.
It's very compact and brand new gym but they have most of equipment. It's get crowded very easily because of its size.

Perfect location, friendly staff, gym is nice and quiet so I can get my workout done. Fitness classes in the sports hall are awesome. I would defiantly recommend joining the leisure centre. Overall good value for money. They have a new centre manager so things are getting done better.
The pool could be cleaner. Not long enough, deep enough and no lane swimming. Catered more towards children rather than adults. There's only one water work out class a week at 9.30am when most people are at work. Britannia is on my doorstep but I have to go to the Clissold Center for a variety of classes.

In the next six months, you'll find it hard to find many publicly available squash courts, so this place deserves stars just for being open. The courts themselves (four, three of them glass - backed) are in reasonable enough condition, but are very busy during peak hours, so go online and book ahead if possible.
It is an old building. The ladies showers could be revamped with better air circulation but overall the services they provide and the personal trainers are great

Updated review: Can someone bother to find the cleaning cupboard?... sadly this centre has gone downhill in the last year and a half with what seem apathetic staff and nobody interested in doing any cleaning which when I asked is part of the staff job. I’ve been taking photos over the last couple of months just to document the fact that nothing seems to been cleaned for a very long time which in a gymnasium something one is generally quite keen on happening... it’s a shame and disappointment because it’s not a big job and doesn’t need to be done hourly but maybe at least daily or every other day as opposed to what seems not even annually. See my review below from over a year ago when it had its refresh. My local gym...I’m old enough to remember when this area the Hollywell Estate, demolished 25 years ago, thankfully..great new gym with machines and free weights plus spin class and other classes. A proper community centre. I use regularly and recommend (but please don't come early eve as I don't want it too busy when I'm there! :-)
A very good facility. Friendly and always helpful staff. Lockers, money returnable. Good shower and changing facilities. Loved that there was liquid soap and hand moisturiser in the ladies lav. A view onto the street in the gym - daylight is always a plus. Very well provisioned for a community gym - I haven't seen any wheelchair users in the gym as yet so I'm not certain whether it is disabled access - I hope so. Not too testosterone fuelled, although I find that the music is a bit loud sometimes particularly during the group cycle sessions. Nonetheless, highly recommended.

Great club: friendly members and excellent coaches

Good spot to watch football. Awful when busy, to buy drinks. Who, (apart from people who don't like beer) wants Coors Light? Then draught all beers go off and you can only buy bottles for over a fiver? The sign that says"bar staff required, no experience required", pretty much sums it up. Either way, the people that served me were polite and decent people. Just hugely overworked and out of their depth for how busy it was.
Watched a boxing fight there. £10 entry on the door, which only got you through the door, no free drink. It drew a crowd that was quite knowledgeable about boxing. Enough space in there to see the screens and enough seating if you get there early enough. You will have to find another review to see how it is as a club. As a note the place emptied very quickly after the fight. As a place to watch sports it was decent.

The Islington Boat Club offers activities for adults and young people offering accredited courses for ages over nine years. Great place to go and spend your time. Especiall as it also has several youth projects offering water-based youth activities including canoeing, sailing, bell boating, and powerboat driving skills.
Personal, friendly people, chilled atmosphere. Rosie is an amazing SUP teacher and it's been a great place to discover in London!
